MARCH SPOTLIGHT CRAWFORD COUNTY
COMMISSION ON AGING
The
Chamber Ambassadors ambushed the COA Board of Directors at their regular meeting to present them with the March Spotlight-A-Member
Award! They were shocked at and amazed at the impromptu visit!
The
Crawford County Commission on Aging is local governmental agency established in 1973 charged with serving seniors age 60 and
older throughout Crawford County. The COA brings together federal, state and local grant funds as well as local millage dollars to provide
a variety of services including congregate and home delivered meals. In-Home
Services, Activities & Trips, Medicare/Medicaid Counseling, Tax Aide and Exercise & Wellness Programs. May of the programs provided are on a donation basis or free of charge. Last year the Commission on Aging
provided activities and/or service to over 60% of the seniors in Crawford
County.
FEBRUARY SPOTLIGHT
MT. HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH
Rev. Steven Thiel and his staff were pleasantly surprised to see several ambassadors walk
in to their offices, although we misled them wrongly (God forgive us!). They were presented with the Spotlight award
and most graciously received it and the donuts generously donated by Goodale's Bakery (that are as good as sin!). Congratulations
and thank you for your support of your Chamber!
JANUARY SPOTLIGHT
AJD FOREST PRODUCTS
The Chamber Ambassadors ambushed Mr. Dave Stephenson one sunny morning in January to present him with the
Spotlight-A-Member Award! He was quite surprised and even seemed to be relieved that it was "just us"! AJD has
been a great supporter of the Chamber for several years now and it is most appreciated! We "wood" like to thank them
for being a member of their Chamber!
DECEMBER SPOTLIGHT, COMFORT CENTER
Congratulations to Luke Petroskey II and his wife Tammy Petroskey, the owners
of the Comfort Center, and to all their hardworking employees for being randomly selected to receive the Spotlight A
Member Award for December 2007! Have a successful New Year!
NOVEMBER SPOTLIGHT, GRAYLING PHARMACY
In November the Ambassadors Club surprised Jeff Emmons and his staff at the Grayling Pharmacy with the Spotlight
A Member Award! Can you believe we actually had to wait in line to present it! Business must be good! Thanks
